We've come to another year for the glitz and glamour. Where all the stars come out to be recognized and celebrated for their accomplishments. The Oscars miraculously has come into fruition considering the actors were on strike not too long along. Nevertheless, the actors and writers were able to settle in time for the 2024 Academy Awards to appear on ABC and it's new time. Late night comedian Jimmy Kimmel hosted this event doing his night show humor. Of course it would not go without some controversy as he read a tweet from former President Donald Trump showing his displeasure of the host performance. Kimmel took it stride and top it with a reply to Trump, "Isn't it past your jail time?" Now that we got that out the way, let's recap some of the winners.
Actress Da'Vine Joy Randolph won for best supporting actress. She played as Mary Lamb in Comedy/Drama "The Holdovers" It was told that she wore her grandmother's glasses in this film to help see through the eyes of her loved one. Ms. Randolph had some stiff competition. She beat out nominees Emily Blount, Danielle Brooks, America Ferrera, and Jodie Foster.
Actor Robert Downey, Jr wins for best supporting actor. He was very gracious and extremely grateful to his wife and his attorney for sticking with him through his trails and tribulations.
In the category for best writing (adapted screenplay) Cord Jefferson takes home the
trophy for American Fiction.
Finneas O'Connelly and Billie Eilish walk away with best original song "What Was I Made For" for the movie Barbie. Billie was overwhelmed and could hardly express her gratitude to the win.

Best picture was won by Oppenheimer. Accepting the award are producers Emma Thomas and Christopher Nolan. This British couple make a perfect duo and has produce some impressive work in the past like Dunkirk, Inception, and Tenet just to name a few. Wonder what they will produce next?
Since Oppenheimer won for best picture, it was only fitting for actor Cillian Murphy to come away with the win for best actor playing as J. Robert Oppenheimer. Murphy stated he is proud to be Irish.
Emma Stone won for best actress in Poor Things, beating out Lily Gladstone in her role in Killers of the Flower Moon. Some fans have stated that they think Gladstone was robbed and she played excellent however, after seeing Poor Things, Emma made this movie her own and cats her special ingredients to make this film a hit. She was excited, she ended up busting out of gown which she exclaimed in her acceptance speech.
