Chevalier, the untold story on film....

Here is another part of history knew nothing about. Taken place in the 1700's in France, Joseph Bologne (played by Kevin Harrison, Jr.) an illegitimate son of a French plantation owner was sent to a specific school based on his gift as a violinist. As he grew older, he learned to become a champion fencer which impressed the Queen. She then named him Chevalier. Joseph quickly became bored with fencing and wanted to further his career in composing music.

Joseph would get his chance to prove his talents as a musician and soon became well known. He was awarded the role in conducting the top opera concert only to be turned down by the higher officials because of the color of his skin. (sounds familiar)

In this film, the music was simply spectacular and had the audience really feeling the classical compositions. Hope there's a soundtrack.

This movie was amazing and very educational. In theaters April 21st...
