Problemista is a rare and hard comedic film directed by Julio Torres. The ideas for the film came from Torres own life experiences. This movie was scheduled to come out in 2023 but due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, it's been rescheduled to be released in 2024.
In the story, we find Alejandro (played by Julio Torres) wants to pursue his dreams as a toymaker. He has some unusual ideas for the toys he wants to make and decides to come to America to make that happen. Alejandro lands in New York City and has to find a job that would sponsor him to keep his visa.
He submits an application to Hasbro and while he is waiting to get a sponsor, he gets these odd jobs through Craig's list to earn income. Alejandro goes through trail and error pursuing his dream as a toy designer. He is running out of time on his visa so the last hope is assisting this strange, demanding wife of an artist pursuing her husband's dream of showing his artwork.
This film is pretty comical and instrumental in sending a message on determination to follow aspiration and trying to fulfill them. We are giving this movie 🍿🍿 and will be in theaters March 15th
